Beautywise, a pioneering startup in the dermatological and beauty supplement sector, has secured INR 6.5 Crores in its first funding round. Its products are now available in over 500 pharmacies and endorsed by more than 150 skin clinics across India, demonstrating the brand’s acceptance and credibility.
The funding round included participation from leading venture capital firms and angel investors, affirming widespread support for Beautywise’s vision. The round was led by AC Ventures and co-led by Fluid Ventures, Real Time Angel Fund (RTAF), and GSF. Contributions also came from LetsVenture Angel Fund and a host of marquee investors, including Dinesh Agarwal, Murugavel Janakiraman, and Akshay Ghulati, among others. A strategic investment from Associated Capsule Group (ACG) boosts Beautywise’s capacity for innovation and expansion.
Anousha Chauhan, Founder of Beautywise, described the brand’s mission, stating, “This fundraise is a pivotal step towards achieving our vision of empowering individuals to realize their authentic beauty and wellness through our results-driven formulations.” Shreyansh Chauhan, Founder and CEO, explained that the funding would be used for product development, team expansion, and increasing retail presence.
The investment will support Beautywise’s goal to introduce innovative products, expand the team, and establish its presence in the global market. The brand is known for its commitment to clean, scientifically backed, and dermatologist-recommended solutions, which earned it the Estée Lauder Beauty & You award in November 2023.
Shreyansh Chauhan also discussed post-funding strategies, which include advancing retail marketing strategies to tap into beauty retail, aesthetic dermatology clinics, and premium salons. The brand plans to develop a Business-to-Direct-to-Consumer (B2D2C) platform to integrate dermatologists, nutritionists, and beauty professionals, enhancing the consumer experience.
Founded in 2021 by Anousha Chauhan and Shreyansh Chauhan, Beautywise targets a discerning audience aged 24 to 44, with a significant 30% male following. The brand’s offerings, such as collagen, glutathione, keratin, and ceramides, are revolutionizing skincare with their Dual Action technology capsule format. This funding round marks a significant milestone for Beautywise and a promising future for the D2C beauty sector, with Beautywise leading the way.
